There has been a change in the date for Kindergarten Graduation. Kindergarten Graduation will be on June 24, 9:00 a.m. in the Elementary School Gymnasium.
May 1st is School Principals' Day! We would like to thank our Elementary School Principal, Keith LaLone, and Jr./Sr. High School Principal, Jeff Holcomb, for their leadership and dedication to providing students with a positive education experience. Their guidance and passion for education allow us to educate, nurture, and empower students in the Warrensburg Central School District.
Join us for a family night of board games! Our Elementary Student Council is hosting a Game Night in the Warrensburg Elementary Cafeteria on Friday, May 3rd from 5:30-7 pm. Pizza and drinks will be available. There is no cost to join, the student council will accept donations. If you plan to attend, please send back the permission slip your student brought home and let us know how many people will be joining you. We hope to see you there!
The Scholastic Book Fair is heading our way! Reading increases knowledge and vocabulary, lowers stress, and supports your child’s emotional growth, and the best benefit is the lasting bond you create with your child when you read with them. Plus, reading books is an excellent way to keep literacy active during the summer!

Reminder, parking for baseball games at the high school is in the main parking lot. For handicap parking, please pull up to the gate and you will be directed by one of the event chaperones.

We are pleased to share that the Warrensburg Junior/Senior High School was included in U.S. News' Best High School list released this week.
Schools are ranked based on their performance in state-required tests, graduation rates, and how well they prepare students for college. The Warrensburg Junior/Senior High School boasts a graduation rate of 96%. 27% of students in the high school participate in Advanced Placement courses. The high school has 1 teacher for every 8 students, allowing us to offer a highly personalized educational experience for each individual student.

Today is Administrative Professionals Day! We would like to thank all of our administrative professionals for the numerous ways that they support our school district. Administrative professionals are masters of organization, ensuring that their coworkers stay on track and meet deadlines. They work to make sure our offices stay organized and efficient. They are the secret glue that holds our operations together!
Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! We are grateful for our team of drivers and monitors who ensure that students make it to and from school safely. Additionally, they make it possible for us to send students to sporting events and on field trips. Thank you for the many ways that you contribute to the Warrensburg Central School District!

Earlier this week, our fifth-grade classes took a field trip to the State Capitol building in Albany. Students visited the floor of the Senate and had a chance to speak with our representative in the New York State Senate, Senator Stec. Afterward, students toured the capitol building, went to the top of the Corning Tower, and visited the Assembly chambers. It was an exciting day for our fifth graders. Thank you for having us!
Reminder, there is a Board of Education Workshop on Monday, April 22 from 6 - 8 in the Jr/Sr High School Auditorium to review and/or Adopt the Proposed Budget to be adopted by the Board of Ed by April 23.
Remember, Friday, April 19, 2024 is an Early Release Day. Elementary School dismisses at 11:45am and the Jr/Sr. High School dismisses at 12:05pm.

Over the weekend, top musicians from eight local schools gathered in the Warrensburg Jr/Sr High School auditorium for the CASMA music festival. The performance featured Junior and Senior High Bands, a Women’s Chorus, and an Elementary Chorus. Students worked with various guest conductors. After rehearsing together all day, they performed for a packed house. Warrensburg 6th grader Shay Graves was featured as one of the soloists in the song, "This Is Me". Great job to all who participated!
The CASMA festival is a voluntary offering for band and chorus students. The participating vocal and band students practice and perform musical selections alongside students from other schools. We are honored that our school was chosen to host the event.
